About Us

all fruits ripe (www.afrseries.com) is an independent, series for queer, Global Majority filmmakers. We support marginalised practitioners working in film and moving image practice through offline screenings, online events, mentorship from industry leads, and a forthcoming film festival. 

We are an evolving community of film lovers, cultural leaders, and creative practitioners dedicated to pushing the boundaries of queer cinema through carefully curated lenses, programmes, and digital marketing. 

At present, we are a small team between England and Germany with little professional knowledge of dev and design. We are looking to update our backend and frontend in preparation for our 2023 programme. 

Website Requirements

• WordPress 
• Showcase our upcoming programme and past events 
• Host news stories relevant to our community and programme
• encourage users of the site to submit their films to our programme or partner with us
• Host video for online screenings
• Compatible for mobile use
• Accessible use (dark mode option, large font etc.)

Key Responsibilities 

• Designing and developing a responsive, engaging, and accessible UI/UX on WordPress for web and mobile use
• Build reusable code and libraries for future use
• Remote, part-time commitment with weekly check-ins 

Basic Competencies 

• Professional programming experience with backend and frontend dev using CSS, HTML, Javascript
• Professional UI/UX design for web and mobile
