We are searching for volunteers who would like to use their professional skills for a good cause.
We are a non-profit organization in Hungary which is well know for daily distributing free food for the poor all across the country. On top of that, our aim in Krisna-völgy is to both promote the spiritual wisdom of the east as well as to help protect the environment by building self-sufficient, environmentally friendly farm communities and educating others of their importance.
By volunteering with us you will get the opportunity to practice your skills and support a non-profit organization at the same time.
At the moment, we are offering this volunteering position as an offsite opportunity, meaning that you can do it remotely from home. However, for the right candidate we will be happy to offer to come stay with us here, in our rural, peaceful farm community as a full time volunteer. Therefore, not only would you be volunteer with us but you can also enjoy a short vacation in rural Hungary.

Thank you for showing interest in volunteering with us, we truly appreciate your desire to help!
Here are some more details as to what we are using at the moment and what we need help with:
We use CakePHP 3 framework on the back end, preferably jQuery 3 for the front end. We use MySQL 5.6 and MariaDB 10.
Most of the code are covered by unit tests and writing tests would be also a part of your help, but not as a mandatory part. Same is true for PHPDoc documentation.
You can help by fixing bugs or implementing new features.
We have around 8 different web applications in different phases.
All the code hosted on github or bitbucket, so the dev cycle is writing code, sending pull requests, than they can go to the main branch.
If you need help, we have a developer to communicate with about the questions and details.
