I am in need of a point-of-sale system that will allow our organization to hold a pay-what-you-can farm market. We are a nonprofit urban farm, and in 2020 we have donated most of the produce from the farm. Because that isn’t sustainable, we’re going back to holding a weekly market. However, we recognize that the economic conditions that drove the increased demand for free produce will not be much improved in 2021. So, we want to make our market pay-what-you-can. We want the POS system to be able to:

– Track inventory and ring up purchases

– Provide customers with suggested tiers of pricing

– Allow the customers to choose their final price

Something ala Square would work fine if there were options for the customer to put in the payment amount, and for customized suggested pricing.
