The British Red Cross helps people in crisis, whoever and wherever they are. We are part of a global voluntary network, responding to conflicts, natural disasters and individual emergencies. We enable vulnerable people in the UK and abroad to prepare for and withstand emergencies in their own communities. And when the crisis is over, we help them to recover and move on with their lives. The British Red Cross currently operates through over 3,000 staff and over 20,000 volunteers.
We are developing a web app (intended for internal use only) to help us understand where our volunteers, staff and services are located in the UK. The interactive map lets users filter by different types of services and a few other categories of interest to us. Users can also plot external sources of data such as the Index of Multiple Deprivation on the map. The majority of our users are likely to access this on desktops/laptops but we’re looking to make it mobile-friendly as well.
I created a beta version of this map but am looking for someone with far better javascript/leaflet/HTML skills than me to optimise it so that it has a smoother (and improved) UX and load times are minimised (there is quite a lot of data feeding into the map).

I have no previous experience with leaflet; however, based on the documentations it looks approachable. If you don’t have a hard deadline I’d like to help. What’s the best way to get in touch?
