Hi I’m Mike. I saw someone post a Facebook status that basically invited anyone who needed food or help to let them know and they would help without question. And I thought, we can do better than that. We can build a site that matches people in need to people who want to help.
The webapp would match hungry people with people who want to help them. Directly. Basically matchmaking for hunger. A hungry person can sign up, and post a request for help. A helpful person can sign up, look through requests displayed on a map, and fulfill them. The actual fulfillment, coordination of getting food to the hungry, is up to the matched pair to figure out. Not that different from Craigslist. That’s it. We are a recently established 501c3. We intend to make no money from this. I’m hoping for kind people to help and share. Thanks so much for taking a second to consider.
