AdRespect.org educates about LGBTQ stereotypes, homophobia, transphobia as well as positive examples by major advertisers from around the world. The database of ads goes all the way back to 1917! 

This site pre-existed YouTube and desperately shows its age. It needs to now offer sharing and voting capabilities. 

The new site is built on ColdFusion in Bootstrap. Most of the work is done however the previous volunteer developer was unable to finish the upgrade for personal reasons.  Home page needs: 

1. Add the thumbs up/down voting functionality. 

2. AdRespect logo is slightly blurry, please correct 

3. Can we add a “Jump to Top” button? (this is helpful in mobile) 

4. Add an AdRespect logo to the screen before pushing PLAY. 

5. Righthand Print list is sometimes one ad too long, going past the video boxes on a computer browser. Can we set it to always be even? 

6. Add Privacy Policy link at bottom (Currently at http://www.adrespect.org/common/news/reports/detail.cfm?Classification=report &QID=4594&ClientID=11064&TopicID=0&subnav=about&subsection=about) 

Ad detail page needs: 

1. Hook up Enlarge and Save to Favorites functionality. 

2. Hook up the thumbs up/down voting functionality. 

3. Hook up share options for social media (Facebook, Twitter) 

4. Hook up comments. 

5. Make clickable all the ad info (Company, Brand, Region, Agency, Themes, etc.) 

6. Bring Theme info up from bottom of page to join Company, Brand, etc. 

7. Search results on left side is not connected. 

8. Video window not displaying on oldest pre-YouTube ads with only server files 

9. Some descriptions run too long. Can we cut off after 4 paragraphs and provide a MORE link to roll down the rest of text? 

Search Ads: 

1. Results not connected. 

2. Can we add filter/Advanced Search on results pages? 

3. There is a fake ad under the Join Us circle button (“Memories by Paolo”). Please remove and use real print ads like Home page. 

Navigation: 

1. Search Ads pulldown: Add Advanced Search 

2. Search Ads pulldown: Rename Broadcast as “Broadcast/Video” and remove Social Media. 

3. “Oldest to Newest” button under Search Ads isn’t functioning correctly, results are in mixed date order. Also only showing TV and not print. 

Join Us: 

• • There is a fake ad under the Join Us circle button (“Memories by Paolo”). Please remove and use real print ads like Home page. 

About/Ad Library Statistics: 

• • Charts need to be enlarged and updated. (By Year isn’t wide enough and falls off the box. Would be nice to be able to click the individual year for results. By Region has strange numbers instead of percentages and appears clickable but produces no results. By Ratings and By Target Audience needs to show percentages rather than decimals.) 

Ad Search Results List: 

• • Please move Advanced Ads Search and View All Ads links to the top of the page from the bottom) 
• • View All Ads link and search results are in no apparent order. Please change to newest order of entry into database.
