Houston, TX is going to be on a long path to recovery post hurricane Harvey. Small to medium sized businesses are the engines of our economy and the lifeblood of our communities. The economic impact of this storm will be devastating.
My goal is to launch a website directory of local Houston businesses that can be shared to anyone wanting to support the Houston recovery effort via patronage of small businesses. The idea is to help offset the economic losses imposed by this storm by inviting Americans from across the country to make a “donation” to the rebuilding effort in Houston just by buying directly from businesses who have been directly impacted. For people who might not have the means to give a charitable donation or have already done so, they can also help by spending money in Houston which will have the ripple effect of assisting in the rebuilding process.
I have decided to focus this effort on The Houston Heights. One of the oldest neighborhoods in Houston with plenty of small shops and businesses and a very charitable constituency. While I would like to do more, Houston is a very large city and by getting some national attention on one neighborhood in central Houston, we will have assisted in elevating Houston as a whole.
I need someone to help me build a web site and donate a logo. Here is what I have so far.

Please let me know if you can help. I feel like to be effective the site will have to be launched and shared soon.
Please also note that I am not a small business owner and have no personal financial interest to be gained through this effort.
