Fellow Farmer’s mission is to make it easier for farmers to sell directly to their local community. We are currently running a pilot project in New York City where farmers attending farmers markets can sell together as a collective directly to consumers and local restaurants for pickup and delivery.
The system automates the entire sales process, from order fulfillment, aggregation, delivery and payments, making it highly efficient for a group of producers to sell as a collective without having to manage any administrative processes.
Fellow Farmer has been entirely funded by grants in order to keep the system fees for the farmers as low as possible. The Covid-19 pandemic has introduced additional needs for development and we are now hence seeking volunteers that are interested in helping to make it easier for farmers to sell directly to their comunity. Both short and long terms commitments are more than welcome.
We are primarily in need of help with with React, React Native, iOS development, and UX design, so please let us know if you have experience from any of those areas.
