I have been building www.makerlearners.com for some time now. I am a full time curriculum coordinator for a school in Dubai and it is become increasingly difficult to maintain the website.
Maker Learners is a free database of learning activities for educators around the world to use. My hope is that it will aid teachers and students in discovering ‘Maker Education’ as a way of learning. The site is well branded with logo’s, fonts and a color palette and I believe what I have so far is OKAY. However, enhancing the website and using the pre-existing branding could turn it into an excellent portfolio piece for a developer who is interested in supporting teachers worldwide,
The website is currently build using Elementor with multiple plugins to allow the following functionality:
– Users can create an account
– Account members can submit their lesson activities and tag them with the resources needed, the appropriate age level for the learning activity and the
– Visitors can search the database of activities to find an appropriate learning activity for their students
I am looking for a more experienced developer to improve what I’ve managed already so that I can focus on creating activities for educators to access.
