CollAction connects people to do sustainable challenges
About CollAction

• CollAction connects people to solve collective action problems. We do so by hosting CrowdActions – (monthly) challenges to incentivize people to temporarily try new habits such as eating less meat, together with friends/family/neighbours. By doing so we aspire to make doing good fun & easy.
• CollAction is an Amsterdam-based non-profit Public Benefit Organisation. Our team has grown from 3 to 20+ international volunteers since July 2021 and we are currently building a native app.
• The backend of the app is Typescript / Nest.js, the app Flutter, the website Next.js. We are mostly looking for help with Typescript / Nest.js, but Flutter or Next.js assistance is also very much appreciated.
• How we work:
  • our codebase for the website and app are available on GitHub and we divide tasks using GitHub tasks
  • we communicate on Slack and have documentation on Confluence
  • we have a Zoom meeting on Tuesdays at 7pm CET time, which usually takes about 20-60 minutes

About you

• (basic) experience with Typescript / Nest.js (or Flutter/Next.js)
• motivated to collaborate in an opensource setting
• eager to learn/build new things
• you have a minimum of 5 hours a week to work on CollAction
