We’re a group of three young graduates trying to play our part in helping with the Covid-19 relief. The NHS is hugely overstretched and underfunded at the moment, and so this is where we’d like to focus our efforts. We are in the process of setting up a not-for-profit website where people donate their good quality clothing that they no longer find themselves reaching for. Users can then ‘buy’ the clothes, but their money will actually be donated to the NHS!
What we are looking for is a website that allows users to upload their own items to an online marketplace within the front end and people can then purchase the item. We would require all of the money to go straight into a single PayPal or bank account, rather than the individual “donator” which we will use to make the donations to the charities. We have UX/UI ideas which we would like to use to make it as easy as possible for the user, which we would discuss if you think this might be something you would like to get involved with.
We are looking for a very simple, easy to use design. While we have found a few host sites that allow for marketplace building, they are not quite what we are looking for, or are far beyond our budgets.
If this sounds at all like something you’d like to get involved in, we’d love to hear from you! We’d really like to get this moving ASAP, so please do let us know your thoughts, and we can arrange a phone call or Zoom.
