Description
Allied Voices seeks to not only raise awareness of race-related incidents, but also to give users hope with stories of good deeds, and to equip users with the knowledge and resources for how to respond to a race-related incident as a victim or ally if they ever encounter one.
How far along is it
We designed the platform with Figma, coded it in HTML, CSS, Python, and JavaScript, and the website is now available at alliedvoices.org. In terms of our strategy, we’re working on building the product roadmap, honing in on our mission, vision, and values, and reaching out to partner organizations to work with us.
Tasks that need to get done
We need developers to help us with the front-end (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React). Bonus points if you’ve ever used the Leaflet JavaScript library for interactive maps or OpenStreetMap for actual map data!
