I have all types of experience. Ranging from mechanic maintenance work to electronics and college education. Growing up in New York I never thought I would make it this far. I moved to Georgia on my own at age 21 without any education or trade background. I took it upon myself to show my loved ones that hard work and dedication can defiantly pay off. My first job in G.A. was at Wal-Mart. I remember working as a floor technician on night shift. Luckily for me I was smart enough to pass my G.E.D. exam. After that I enrolled at Central Georgia Tech College, gaining certificates in Logistics Management and Small Engine Repair. With these certificates, I was able to get my first government job, The City of Macon. As a maintenance worker, I had gain hands on experience in repairing lawn and golf equipment. I work there for two years but like most people, I needed more income. So, I decided to apply for other jobs. My next career was Clayton County Corrections. I was a small engine mechanic repairing zero turns, weed eaters, chainsaws and push mowers. But that position only lasted a year. Reason being, Parsons Government Support had offer me a position as an age mechanic at Robins Air force Base. For some reason they seen my resume online. I said yes because it was closer. Long story short plant services had been awarded the contract making me a civil service employee. My job title is an electronic technician, working on military electronic equipment. But I am on a different path now currently enrolled at South Georgia Technical College. The plan is to graduate in fall semester of 2023 with three associate’s degrees in information technology. The degrees are computer support systems, network support and cyber security. Right now, at freecodecamp and w3schools I am learning how to create my own mobile application/ web sites with html & JavaScript. Visual studio code is the program I am using to build my own websites. Hopefully with this training I can get in an internship position to gain experience on mobile or web application development. Also willing to donate and do volunteer work to gain experience.
