Hello, my name is Nikhil and I am a recent graduate of Arizona State University with a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science with a specialization in Software Engineering. I have about 1 year of experience through internships in Software Development and Web Development as well as exposure to all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle. In my recent role as a Data Analyst at Arizona School of Urban Planning , I was responsible for performing analysis on large data sets from our partners such as Arizona HMIS team and the Salvation Army using MySQL, PostgreSQL to identify economic and social patterns amongst homeless people and visualizing it using Tableau and GIS software increasing the prediction of homelessness occurrence by 40%. BREAK Since I was part of a small team answering the needs of the largest public university in the world, I was also responsible with developing and maintaining the department website and data repository site hosted on AWS using JavaScript libraries and HTML doubling the amount of geo positional data available to faculty and staff as well as increasing recoverability of the website. I have also interned as a Technical Analyst at apposite learning services where I was responsible for documenting and reporting the application development process of the Medicaid projects for the State of Michigan and Oregon, identifying key business workflow changes and reporting actionable insights to the partners. One of the most challenging projects that I was a part of was my Naval Rescue21 project with General Dynamics where I created an extremely secure webtop application for use by the US Coast Guard on the OWF framework using JavaScript. GD used our findings to report on the viability of the project to the US Rescue21 Coast Guard. Through my projects I am proficient in programming in Java, C#, C++ and frameworks such as Spring, Node.js and Npm.
Based on this I found the role interesting and I think that my experience makes me a good fit.
