Hello, I’m Candice, a multidisciplinary designer who enjoys arts & culture. Luckily, I live just 20 minutes bicycle ride away from the heart of Amsterdam, a city buzzing with a plethora of creative ecosystems. I am both creative and technical, with a keen interest in achieving and supporting great OMNI Channel Experiences. I have worked for a variety of industries for the past 13 years and with clients like Converse, Nike, and Adidas to mention some well known brands, and the G24 which may not be so well known but my content served VIP’s such as Finance Ministers and Diplomats from 24 countries.
My main focus is on people, experience and story telling. In my studies and work I have learned that it is not only about building something from scratch, but to know what fits the desires and needs of your customers. For me this means to get a thorough understanding of your company’s business model and goals when I start working on new projects.
After completing my studies in Multimedia & Web Design, I mainly developed in web design until 2014 when I shifted to OMNI-Channel. In 2015 I started studying UX online and had the opportunity to perform UX tasks for three platforms. I developed knowledge in project management while working on a project to optimize interdepartmental asset leveraging and time constraints.
The ideal I try to live up to professionally, and am constantly developing in, is to describe myself honestly as a dynamic data driven creative, serving engagement communications through both innovative and disruptive (depends on the business requirement) techniques and applications by using information as hues which collectively can construct original and bespoke solutions to human needs.
The way I see it is that there are no problems, only people, and professionally I specialize in delivering tailored solutions to one specific attribute of people. Which is people WANT. The existence of UX, just like business itself, is build upon this one principle only in my opinion. While most business exist to capitalize on that people want, UX takes it one step further to evaluate also why people want and translate those findings into rich media and valuable solutions.#.
My work ethic is mindful and built out of respect which means that although I want to reward the client with an experience that is finetuned to serve the wants they have come to interact with us digitally with, through understanding as much as possible about them and using those insights alongside a toolbox of principles ranging from data driven insights to the laws of 8ths or psychology to design a solution that is pleasant to engage with, that the social impact of my work adheres to code of conduct as a socially conscious individual who does not exploit people needs.
