Vision.

Neighborhood food drives have become routine in post-CV America, with neighbors happily doing their part to help food-stressed families. 

Background.

To help in these challenging times, I did a food drive in my neighborhood. I quickly realized it was extremely inefficient; with better coordination, I could collect much more food.

App features enable:

• Donators enter their home address and desired donation frequency (weekly, monthly, etc)
• Collectors choose a geography (e.g., set of city blocks) and frequency for how often they’ll commit to collection runs (weekly, monthly, etc)
• Donators receive a reminder before each specific collection (“have items on your porch by 5p tomorrow”)
• When items are placed on porch, Donator indicates on app that items are ready for pickup
• Upon pickup, Collector indicates on app as collected

Ongoing management.

I’m a former marketer and business manager at Starbucks.  (I reside in Seattle.)  I would promote this free-to-use app, with a goal is widespread adoption across the country.  I would be responsible for ongoing program leadership, including the app.
