I’ve been voluntarily taking care of the website for Bakes for Breast Cancer for 11 years, and developed a new site for them in 2021. My days job just got acquired by Meta, and I can no longer volunteer.
I am looking for someone to take over maintenance, which includes adding/removing participating locations, keeping WordPress and it’s plugins up to date, modifying forms (Gravity Forms), managing email users in Google Workplace, and a variety of other tasks as the charity needs them.
Since I built the site, I can walk through all aspects of the changes I make. Generally, there aren’t very many until the months before the annual events happen (usually in August and October)
About the charity: started in 1999, they do annual events where bakeries and restaurants donate proceeds from a dessert they select (or 50% proceeds from all desserts) during a specific week of the year. Since inception, they’ve raised over $3m and donated it directly to researchers working on finding a cure to breast cancer.
I love the charity and have a spot in my heart for them, but I’m just not able to volunteer anymore due to my work commitments.

Leading up to the events (around May through November), it’s an hour to 90 minutes a week, at most.
The rest of the year it may be an hour a month, if a grind.

Hey Mike, what are the time commitments each week?
Thank you!
Best,
