Our organization is looking for an app/website that will allow us to coordinate our volunteers with food recovery efforts within a given area.
Ideally, the app will send a notification to volunteers when a rescue becomes available in their area. They can then go into the app and view the details of the rescue like pickup location, time, drop-off location.
On the back end, we should be able to enter food recovery info through a dashboard of some kind.

Just my piece of advice. Start with the tools you have, create a Whatsapp/Telegram group with the people involved. Then when this becomes too busy (which is great), you could split into multiple channels, and some moderators keep the coordination. Later you can use google forms. Only then I would recommend to run a software project.
